The Tampa Bay Lightning took home their sixth overtime victory of the season as they defeated the Anaheim Ducks 4-3 Wednesday night. The win came on coach Jon Cooper’s 1,000th NHL game, which was good for his 595th win. Great way to celebrate that milestone and close out 2025!

This was Tampa’s fifth consecutive win. They’re now 5-3 in overtime games.

JJ Moser, Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov (in that order) scored all of Tampa’s regulation goals. After allowing the Ducks to score two goals in the third period, the game headed to overtime, where defenseman Darren Raddysh scored the game-winning goal. That was his second career overtime goal. He also assisted in Moser’s goal, notching his ninth multi-point game of the season.

Next up, they face the L.A. Kings tomorrow, in another back-to-back, to open up 2026.
