Adrian Kempe netted two goals for the Los Angeles Kings, handing the Tampa Bay Lightning their third-straight loss. The 2-1 loss for the Tampa Bay Lightning Thursday night was also their fourth-straight home regulation loss.
Tampa couldn’t convert on more than one out of five power-plays. Their 17.4% power-play conversion rate puts them in the bottom half of the league (#22). However, they rank #3 in penalty kills.
Oliver Bjorkstrand scored Tampa’s only goal midway through the 1st period on a power-play. He has five goals and 15 points this season. He’s now one point away from reaching 400 points for his career.
Andrei Vasilevskiy made his return after missing the past seven games with an undisclosed injury. Assistant coach Rob Zettler was quoted as saying, “I have not talked to the trainers yet but he looked good out there. I said, ‘How are you doing? ' and he said ‘I feel good.’ We will see.”
