Florida Panthers 5 vs. Tampa Bay Lightning 3 Post-Game Notes

The Tampa Bay Lightning fell to the Florida Panthers in their third preseason match. Although it was technically the first time the in-state rivals met this season, the only thing on the line is roster spots for guys called up from AHL squads.

Jansen Harkins played his previous two seasons with the Anaheim Ducks and bounced around AHL squads in the two seasons before that. He scored two goals last night, which puts him in a good position to claim a roster spot.

Conor Geekie scored Tampa’s other goal to level the score at two. He’s been part of Tampa’s system since being traded by Utah along with J. J. Moser back in June of 2024.

The Lightning close out their preseason campaign tomorrow night, on the road in Sunrise, FL against the Florida Panthers.
