Following the destruction of the Trop roof during Hurricane Milton last month, the Rays were left with a tough question. Where do we play next season? After we learned it would be over $50 million to repair the roof, and the new stadium not scheduled to be completed until 2028 the team needed to think fast. Well, we finally got the answer.

Your Tampa Bay Rays will play their home games at Steinbrenner Field in 2025. I know what you’re thinking, isn’t that the Yankee’s Spring Training home? Don’t we play the Yankees a LOT. Won’t these feel like home games for the Yankees? Yes, Yes, and YES, but nothing new there.

Personally it will be refreshing to experience some outdoor baseball in August, maybe THAT will give the Rays an advantage!
