Devon Armour, 27, of Fox Crossing, was arrested Monday and charged in the death of Cire Walker, who accidentally shot himself in Milwaukee on Saturday night, WJDT reported.

Armour, who is a cousin to the victim’s mother, was charged with second-degree reckless homicide of a habitual criminal repeater, possession of a firearm by a felon and two counts of bail jumping, according to court records.

Bail was set at $150,000 after Armour made a court appearance via video conference, according to WITI.

According to a criminal complaint, Armour was visiting the victim’s mother after attending a funeral in Milwaukee, WISN reported. The child was making sandwiches with his 12-year-old brother when he found the gun on the kitchen table at about 10:30 p.m. CDT, according to WDJT.

The complaint said the boy reached for the gun and shot himself in the face, the television station reported.

Investigators said Armour grabbed the gun and fled the home.

Walker died at the scene, WISN reported.

Armour had been charged March 31 in an armed robbery case in Waukesha County, where he was released on $10,000 bail and was prohibited from possessing firearms, the television station reported.

According to investigators, Armour admitted to buying the pistol four days before the shooting, WDJT reported.
