According to a Facebook post on the Pine County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page, a squirrel jumped out from under a deputy’s squad car computer, WCCO reported. The bushy-tailed critter hopped on the dashboard and gave the deputy “a quick stare down” before running across the driver’s side window and vanishing in the back of the vehicle.

The deputy pulled over but was unable to find the squirrel, KMSP reported. But he did find a big stash of nuts, the television station reported.

“Apparently the back of the patrol unit is a good place to store your winter food,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook. “These nuts have now been placed in evidence. If anyone sees a squirrel looking for his food, we are looking for said squirrel for questioning in relation to this incident.”

Pine County is located northeast of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area.
