Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz confirmed in a news conference Tuesday night that three children were found inside a house at 47 Summer Street by police just after 6 p.m., according to WFXT.

A man who arrived home called 911 to report the woman’s attempted suicide, according to WFXT. Cruz said that a woman tried to commit suicide by jumping through a window of the house. She was transported to the hospital.

Once inside the house, first responders found two children — a 3-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl — both unresponsive with obvious signs of trauma. They were taken to the hospital where they were both pronounced dead, according to WFXT. An 8-month-old baby was flown to a hospital in Boston for medical care.

WFXT reported that Massachusetts State Police and local police are investigating the incident.

The identities of the children and the woman have not been released, according to WFXT.
