WILSON, N.C. — A North Carolina man is wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 5-year-old boy, authorities said.

According to the Wilson Times and WTVD, Darius Nathaniel Sessoms, 25, of Wilson, is facing a first-degree murder charge after police said he shot the child about 5:30 p.m. Sunday at a Wilson mobile home park. Emergency crews rushed the boy to a nearby hospital, where he died, the news outlets reported.

Police said Sessoms may be traveling in a black, 2019 Toyota Corolla with North Carolina tag TCH-2773 and no front bumper.
