Andre Young, known to fans as rapper Dr. Dre, has agreed to settle his divorce with his ex-wife Nicole.
Dr. Dre has agreed to pay his ex $100 million in two installments as part of a property settlement agreement, TMZ reported. The first half will be paid this year, and the second will be paid next year.
Dr. Dre is worth an estimated $820 million, according to People Magazine, and will have to give over more than one-fifth of his fortune and approximately half his liquid assets.
In the divorce, Dr. Dre will keep seven properties, six vehicles, and full rights to his master recordings. Young must move out of the former couple’s Malibu beach house by the end of the month, but will keep four vehicles and her jewelry, People Magazine reported.
The 18-month divorce proceeding had been contentious because Dr. Dre had wanted to enforce a prenuptial agreement, but Young’s attorney argued that her client had signed the prenup under duress, Rolling Stone reported.
The couple has two adult children.
