VEGETATION FIRE 10/11/2021 @ 4:03PM River Delta Fire District along with multiple mutual aid resources from Sacramento, Solano Counties and CalFire responded to a vegetation fire that rapidly moved into a residential area. The fire started near Rancho Marina RV Park along Brannan Island Road around 4 p.m. Due to strong winds and low humidity the fire rapidly spread into structures within the park making firefighting efforts extremely difficult. Approximately 30 structures were destroyed. Firefighters were able to save about twenty structures. Aircraft from CalFire were used to help extinguish areas of the fire that were difficult fire firefighters to access. No injuries have been reported, and the cause remains under investigation. Marinas and residents downwind of the fire have been evacuated as the firefighting efforts continue throughout the night. Several residents of the mobile home park have been displaced. #OurCommunityOurPriority #OurCommunityBeforeOurselves #volunteerfirefighter #YourLifeOurMission
