How did you get here? I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and went to Roswell High School…home of the Hornets! I then went off to South Georgia College for two years (who knew I would use my Associates Degree in Journalism to talk about cheating couples and the latest sex tape!) I went to Georgia Southern University and graduated in May of 2007 with a Bachelors degree in Broadcasting. I worked at my college radio station, 91.9 The Buzz. (I'm afraid to listen back to those old shows) After graduating college, I moved to Savannah, Georgia and worked at Clear Channel Radio Station 97-3 KISSFM and NewsRadio 1290 WTKS. I also ate a lot of fried chicken at Paula Deen's restaurant. :) I moved to Panama City Beach, Florida in July 2008 to do Produce and Co-host "That Guy" Kramer in the Morning on Island 106. After three years in PC, Kramer, Holly, and myself got the call from CBS Radio to head down to Tampa, Florida to be the new morning show on Play 98.7. After about a year with CBS Radio, they decided to switch formats to sports. I went back to Panama City Beach where they allowed me to grow and learn how to host my very own morning show...thus The Miguel Show was born. After two years in the Spring Break capitol of the world, the powers that be at COX Media Tampa Bay have allowed Holly and I to wake up Tampa-St.Pete-Clearwater every morning!
Favorite food: I will do WHATEVER it takes for a good bacon cheese burger. If there's one that you think is amazing, please let me know.
What weapon would you use to survive the Zombie Apocalypse? I have a box of pictures and papers from when I was in Elementary School. I’ve never wanted to get rid of the box but I think it would finally be time to do so by throwing it at the zombies and smashing their faces in!
What current artist are you obsessed with? I know it says current, but I always have to list John Mayer first. Him and I have had a very intimate relationship since I was in high school. A friend gave me a burned CD and said their sister’s boyfriend knew this guy performing in Atlanta that might be something big one day. I listened to that CD nonstop. He turned out to be John Mayer. I love that man. I also am digging the new Jennifer Hudson.
What TV shows are you watching right now? I LOVE TV!! Let’s see, I’m watching The Walking Dead, Revenge, Scandal, How To Get Away From Murder, Downton Abbey, House of Cards, Orange Is The New Black, Nashville, Empire, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Mad Men and of course Game Of Thrones. I’m sure there’s more but I don’t want it to seem like all I do is watch TV (which may be true…)
Current obsession: I love EVERYTHING lavender scented. My laundry detergent, body wash, trash bags, candles and even dish soap have the lavender scent!
You wake up and grab your phone, what’s the first thing you’re checking? Tinder. Any new matches overnight?!?!
Adult beverage of choice? Raspberry vodka tonic. I can taste it on my lips! :)
You’re most likely to find me here on the weekend: Either having drinks in Ybor with my friends or finding a new place to eat in St. Pete.
What's your biggest guilty pleasure? Not showering or going outside on Sundays. I like to sit inside, order a bunch of bad food and binge watch a bunch of shows.
Worst fear? Animals. All animals. Rabbits, birds, lady bugs, butterflies—they all scare me.
Pet Peeve? If you are on a dating app, PLEASE DON’T EVER SAY, “BORED” “Someone Entertain Me.” I will assume that you are a boring person. AHHHHH!
Do you have any tattoos or piercing? I don’t! But I’ve always wanted to get one that looks like a stamp that says, “Miguel Fuller Made in ATL – 1985.”
Tell me about your first kiss: Don’t remember. But I do remember my OTHER first stuff, if you know what I mean. ;)
