TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning and Chase Bank have teamed up with Operation Homefront to provide a rent-free home to a military veteran and his family during the team’s home game on November 8 at AMALIE Arena against the Edmonton Oilers. The home is presented as part of Operation Homefront’s Transitional Homes for Veterans program, supported by JPMorgan Chase.
Technical Sergeant Robert Alvarado and his family will be honored during the game, as the Lightning host Military Appreciation Night. Robert, along with his wife Lucy, live in Wesley Chapel with their three children.
JPMorgan Chase has also awarded more than 1000 mortgage-free homes to military families. Operation Homefront is a national 501 (c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to build strong, stable and secure military families so they can thrive – not simply struggle to get by – in the communities they have worked so hard to protect.
