Tampa Police are investigating a deadly crash that happened overnight in Ybor City
Two vehicles were spotted racing near Hanna and Nebraska Ave in Tampa. 22-year-old Silas Sampson drove onto I-275 southbound. FHP troppers joined in and attempted a pit maneuver. Sampson then proceeded down 7th ave where Sampson crashed into a group of pedestrians on 7th Ave near 15th Street.
Three pedestrians were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth victim died at the hospital.
Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaws says 11 other people were injured as well, some severe. All victims were over the age of 20.
