Brett Morgen called me today to talk about his new film about David Bowie, Moonage Daydream. He told me about why you should see the movie in theaters for the huge sound, how Bowie constantly made himself uncomfortable so he could feel really in the moment in all things, the surprising aspects of Bowie that most people don’t know, and a whole lot more. If you’re a David Bowie fan at any level, whether you’re a super-fan, or you just don’t get David but you like a few songs, after watching this movie you’ll at least come away understanding who David Bowie was, and still is. Oh, and Brett’s favorite Bowie song is Heroes which is an excellent choice.

The movie gets wide distribution today and is in theaters across the country now.
