If the Rays Win the World Series, No Championship Parade in Tampa?

Mike thinks that’s a great idea!

Today on The Mike Calta Show, they talked about how St. Pete Mayor Ken Welch told WFLA that if the Rays win a World Series, the championship parade should be held in St. Pete, not Tampa.

Mike agreed, saying the parade belongs in St. Pete since that’s where the Rays play. Geo disagreed, bringing up the now-legendary Bucs and Lightning boat parades in downtown Tampa, including Tom Brady tossing the Lombardi Trophy from one boat to another and Lightning players riding jet skis with the Stanley Cup.

Galvin pointed out that they’re the Tampa Bay Rays, not the St. Pete Rays, while Joe mentioned that a parade could just as easily take place around the St. Pete Pier.

So what do you think? Tampa or St. Pete?
