BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — A West Virginia man is accused of using pepper spray on another man before hitting him with a brick, authorities said.
Benjamin Michael Mancini II, 40, of Stonewood, was charged with malicious assault, WBOY-TV reported.
According to a criminal complaint, the victim claimed that Mancini had followed him into the garage of a residence on Tuesday and then “sprayed him with pepper spray with approximately four passes and hit him several times in the head” with “what he believed to be a brick.”
The two men then wrestled in the garage of the residence, the victim stated, according to The Exponent Telegram of Clarksburg.
The victim received 11 wounds to his head and needed 13 stitches, the newspaper reported.
Mancini was arrested on Wednesday and is being held in North Central Regional Jail, according to Harrison County online booking records. Bail was set at $10,000 bond.
