DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — A Georgia sheriff’s deputy found herself on the horns of a dilemma. In the end, an animal got her goat.
The deputy, a member of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, was serving legal papers at a residence west of Atlanta, according to the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page.
She left her squad car door open because she has had to run back to the vehicle because of dogs, the sheriff’s office said.
“Get out. Go. Come on,” the deputy said, slapping the immovable goat on its rear in an attempt to get the animal to move. The deputy ran from one side of the patrol car to the other, opening doors and attempting to coax the goat out of the car.
When she returned, the deputy found a goat in the front seat of the patrol car, contentedly munching on paperwork, WBRC reported.
On its Facebook page, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office included a video but warned readers there was “some mild cursing.”
“If you are easily offended, please keep scrolling,” the sheriff’s office wrote.

The deputy was frustrated but could only laugh at her predicament. She was knocked to the ground but was not injured, the sheriff’s office said.
“At the end of the day we all got a little laugh out of it and we hope you do as well!” the sheriff’s office wrote.
