The Cowhead Show
John Brennan, Cowhead, Dinah, Galvin

Weekday afternoons from 3-7, 102.5 the Bone is proud to present The Cowhead Show. Be sure to listen, because not only do you get interviews, celebrity appearances and updates on stuff going on around Tampa Bay, you also get an Open Letter with Galvin, The Celebrity Death Pool, Retarded News and assorted shenanigans!

Cowhead

Cowhead grew up in NY, on the mean streets of Staten Island. His last job before getting into radio was a fork lift driver in Bayonne, NJ. That sucked. So he packed his bags and moved to Florida. He went to St. Leo College where he spent enough time to earn a .7 GPA and became a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.

In his spare time Cowhead likes to take naps, high five midgets and take naps. His heroes are Frank Sinatra, Jack Nicholson, Bob Lassiter, and Little Jimmy Norton. His favorite guests are Dr. Conley, Jay Mohr, David Wells, and Big and Rich.

Cowhead has learned two great life lessons in his years and would like to share them with you:

  • "If someone is bothering you, you have to hit them right away, cause if you don't they will keep coming back."  - Dad, 1997
  • "Don't be a fool because I'm a fool...be a fool because you're a fool."  - A homeless guy, 1979

Galvin

Galvin, the smart ass youngest of four brothers, grew up outside Chicago then moved to Florida at the age of 19. He always had radio in the back of his mind as something he would like to do.

When he started bartending at age 21 the cash was too good to give up. Working his way up the nightclub ladder to Entertainment Director, at age 28 Galvin was offered a GM position, which he promptly turned down to get into radio. Now or never.

Starting at overnights and working his way to mornings, within a year he realized just by showing up on time people thought you were great. After 6 years at the same station Galvin did a short radio stint in Louisville, Ky. So short he never changed his Florida tags. Then he got the call from Cowhead. Galvin was knocking on Cowhead's studio door before he heard a dial tone. In February 2007 Galvin became part of The Cowhead Show and now lives back in Florida and hopes never ever to see stupid snow ever again.

Since Cowhead has it on his bio, here are two things I have learned in my life

  • Nobody is ever sick on Saturday night. (Me)
  • There's such a fine line between clever and stupid. (Spinal Tap)

John Brennan

John Brennan was born in Philadelphia and raised in Hernando County, Florida. He is the Executive Producer of the #1 rated Cowhead Show, heard weekdays from 3-7pm on 102.5 The Bone (WHPT).  John has been with the show since Cowhead debuted on 102.5 The Bone in 2006.

After graduating from USF with a Marketing Degree in 2005 John landed the Promotions Coordinator job with The Bone.  In The Fall of 2008 he was brought in as the Executive Producer of The Cowhead Show and has since been an integral part of Cowhead's creative team.  Creative, awkward and quirky can now be summed up in one word: Johnbrennan.

John Brennan is the skinniest guy on the show.

In his spare time John plays guitar in two bands, updates his Facebook frequently and once came in 3rd in a spelling bee.

Dinah

Dinah grew up in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, went in and out of a couple colleges and then decided college sucks. Waking up and putting on nice clothes wasn't for her either, so she decided to go into radio. Cowhead, Moose and Galvin took her in as an intern and after a year of blood, sweat and tears, she was finally hired. Now she sits pretty as the beautiful female voice of the Cowhead Show. In her free time she sleeps, parties and gets made fun of by the other members of the show.

The two most important things she has learned in this business:

  • Cowhead knows everything.
  • Galvin’s angry.
