The first wave will begin as close to 7:30 as possible, with a 1/4 mile swim on the southern side of Honeymoon Island, transition and youre off to the 12 mile bike around the eastern part of the Island and over the Duneidn Causeway.
Next begins the 5K through a the natural Florida setting on the western side of Honeymoon Island complete with a mix of beachside and trial area.
Directions Packet pick-up and pre-race registration will be Saturday, June 7, from noon to 4pm st St. Alfreds Church located at 1601 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor, Florida 34698
Honeymoon Island State Park is located at the extreme west end of S.R.586, north of Dunedin.
From I-75 (north of Tampa): I-75 south to I-275 south towards Tampa. Follow I-275 south to Hillsborough Ave west (SR-580). Take SR 580 west to SR-586 fork then left. Follow SR-586 into park. From I-75 (south of Tampa): I-75 north to I-4. I-4 to I-275 north. I-275 to Hillsborough Ave west (SR-580). SR-580 west to SR-586 fork then left. Follow SR-586 west into park.

WHEN TO ARRIVE AT THE RACE:
The triathlon attracts and average of 600 registered athletes. Therefore, to begin on time we ask that you plan to arrive on the island between 6 and 6:30 am.
Parking staff will be on hand to direct you where to park as you arrive. There is no fee to get into the island for the race.
Some of you may have to park farther north on the island and my have some distance to walk to get to the transition area and swim start. Give yourself plenty of time.
