9th Annual Chanukah Extravaganza The 9th Annual Chanukah Extravaganza hosted by the Chabad Jewish Center of Greater St. Petersburg on Sunday, December 9, 2012.Whatever your age, there will be something to delight the senses including a giant Menorah filled with jelly beans, interactive olive oil workshop, crafts, latkes, strolling magician, 18 foot high double lane inflatable slide, free latkes, music, doughnut bar, raffles, Judaica sale, greetings from local dignitaries and a hot dog concession. There will also be a large “Spin for Sandy” drel (bring your change and watch it add up) and the proceeds will be sent to victims of hurricane Sandy.The celebration will also feature entertainment by the Enigma Dance Kru. Founded in 2002, the Tampa based group is known for their unique, trendy dance style which mixes break dancing with different styles of hip hop dance.Performing both domestically and internationally the group was featured in Sesame Street Live, Busch Garden’s Katonga, Shakespeare in the Park and the Chocolate Nutcracker. They have appeared on Randy Jackson’s America Best Dance Crew, the Ellen DeGeneres Show and Checkers and Rally commercials. The group has also performed for various artists including Nina Sky and Bennie Man and was also in the film “Bring It On: In it to Win It.” Internationally Enigma Dance Kru has traveled to Japan and Germany.The festivities will begin at 4:30 p.m. at South Straub Park in downtown St. Petersburg.
