Check in starts @ 8:00 a.m.This class provides the training and testing necessary to obtain a Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance (LCLM) license which is for landscape maintenance personnel applying herbicides or other pesticides to a customers' property. The class is also offered as a review and testing for the Limited Lawn and Ornamental (LLO) license which is for employees on private property (in-house maintenance crews) or employees of a government agency that apply pesticides to lawn and landscape areas. This class is NOT for renewal CEUs. A completed LCLM or LL&O application with picture, and a check for $150 made out to DACS must be brought with you the day of the class if you want to take the exam. Be sure to print off a copy of the Florida statutes, Administrative code and Best Management Practices (BMP) for Protection of Water Resources in Florida (the free BMP manual is also available at the Extension Service office) as these are part of the study materials. The study manuals are only available thru the IFAS bookstore and will cost you $40 plus shipping. If paying with a credit card, it takes about 4-5 business days to receive them. This class is offered at no cost to Pinellas County Employees. Identification must be provided on the day of class to attend for free. We can no longer provide food or drinks. Lunch will be on your own. There is a vending machine on site. If you don't take the exam on class day, you will need to submit your application to FDACS and wait to receive a letter from them stating you can take the exam. You must bring this letter with you to take the exam. We offer exams the third Wednesday of each month. Cancellations - If your class is canceled for any reason you will be notified no less than 24 hours prior to class start. We will provide a full refund for cancellations made by Pinellas County Extension. Refunds may take up to 30 days to process. Payment - We require full payment at time of reservation so be prepared with a credit card to complete this transaction. Refunds - Refunds will be made in the event of a class cancellation or if the registrant requests a refund 24 hours prior to the class time. Reservations - You must be 18 to make a reservation.
