Location:   Patel Center for Global Solutions Calendar:  USF World Calendar Contact:  Anton Hopen Description:  The mission of the USF Young Innovator Competition is to promote innovation and creativity in young people by motivating them to solve problems and improve upon the things around them. Students in grades K-12 from the Tampa Bay area submit their inventions for preliminary judging by the USF Chapter of the National Academy of Inventors. The semifinalists selected present their inventions before a panel of celebrity judges at the final competition, which is open to the public. All semifinalists receive medals and prices, and the winner and two runners up, along with their schools, receive cash awards. More information is available at www.innovationexpress.org.
