The Tampa Tribune will play host to a special one-day SABEW investigative reporting workshop Nov. 30.
The workshop, conducted with funding from the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation, will feature two experts with ties to the Investigative Reporters and Editors organization: former IRE executive director Brant Houston of the Investigative News Network, and current IRE President David Cay Johnston of Reuters. Joining them is Chris Davis. a two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist and investigations editor for the Tampa Bay Times, formerly the St. Petersburg Times. The workshop is free for both SABEW members and non-members. All attendees must RSVP by registering here.The foundation, based in Oklahoma City, announced the $25,000 award as part of $1.5 million in grants to journalism organizations nationwide.The Tampa workshop will start at 8 a.m. and includes lunch.
